“달려라 녹색 운동화”라는 컨셉을 가지고 진행한 녹색연합의 청년포럼 프로젝트 포스터 작업. 5가지 주제로 진행되는 포럼의 내용을 청년들에게 어필할 수 있도록 친근감 있게 접근 하고자 하였다. 홍보 /디자인 팀장으로 사진 촬영 및 포스터 시안 제작 참여.

예술의 전당 한가람 디자인 미술관 ”우리가 생각하는 숫자”

예술의 전당 한가람 디자인 미술관에서의 프로젝트 전시인 “우리들의 생각하는 숫자”에 참여했던 설치물.  각 숫자를 자신만의 언어로 해석하는 프로젝트로, 동·서양 전반에 걸쳐 공통적으로 “5″를 “생명”의 의미로 보는것에서 모티브를 얻어 빛과 천을 통해  이를 표현하였다. 앞서 졸전의 ”Breath of lights”의 새로운 버전이라 볼 수 있다. 작동 원리는 매우 단순한 편인데, 관람객이 다가오면 중심부의 빛이 발하고 천이 부풀어 오르며 움직임을  나타낸다.  

Bus Project : lazy cat
버스커버 디자인

경기도 버스 시트 커버 디자인의 작가로 참여하여  lazy cat이라는 주제로 평소 버스를 타고 다니며 느꼈던 감성을 공유하고자 하였다. 사진 촬영 후 리터칭 작업.

매일 반복되는 일상, 같은 버스 같은 시간 / 즐거운 건지, 슬픈건지 감각마저 무뎌질 때면 / 무거운 삶의 짐들일랑 벗어 던지고 /동네 고양이 마냥 맘편히, / 게을러 보고 싶다

x4디자인 브랜딩에서 주관한 “공공디자인 멤버십(2개월 과정)”을 수료하여, 삼성1동을 주제로 다양한 공공디자인 작업을 해보았다. 위는 “늘 품는 마을”과 “문화,교통,무역 등 전방위적으로 아우르는 마을”이라는 컨셉으로 작업한 VI와 아래는 조명과 안전펜스의 기능을 결합한 공공시설물 디자인 작업이다. (3D렌더링을 제외한 기획-스케치-디자인-편집디자인 전반 참여)

INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION

  ”FLOWALL”is a team project at Electrical Effect in Hong-ik University. It is an interactive installation that is comprised of one main module and 14 followings.

When the sound is detected, the main module grows its light as the volume of the sound. 14 following modules detect the brightness of the light from the main module and react by rotating itself. While the modules are interacting with sound and light, the graphic images are projected onto its shiny surface to make the light effects all over the place.

 “FLOWALL”은 홍익대학교의 미디어 아트 소모임인 “전기효과”의 프로젝트 작업이다. 인터렉티브 설치물인 이 작품은 1개의 메인 모듈과 14개의 부가적인 모듈로 구성되어 있다.

소리가 감지되면, 그 소리의 볼륨에 따라 메인 모듈의 빛이 커지고 작아진다. 14개의 나머지 모듈들은 메인 모듈에서 나오는 빛의 밝기에 따라 회전하며 반응한다. 각각의 모듈이 빛과 사운드에 반응하는 동안, 그래픽 이미지들이 모듈의 표면에 영사되어 전체의 벽면에 반사되면서 아름다운 시각효과를 만들어 낸다.

월보

It is a news letter for preparatory committee of graduation, and what I designed was “April”. Its cover shows the subject of April : triangle, prism, and expansion. Every detail of this letter related with the subject.

졸업전시준비위원회의 소식지로, 4월호를 작업하였다. 4월호는 “삼각형, 프리즘, 확장”이라는 주제로 진행되어 이를 표지화 하였고, 월보 사이사이의 모든 디테일이 이 주제와 연관되어 있다.

This lighting work is my answer to the question : “Who am I?”.

Anybody may have some extent of dual personality characters. There are two aspects in me: one for showing to others and the other just genuine inside me.
Neither could be the only representitive of mine. It should always go together.

The letters for my name on the surface mean outside myself. Before entering letters representing inside myself by direct touching, they would look hazy.
This touch means a sympathy to share with others.

이 작품은 “나는 누구인가”에 대한 나의 답이다. 사람은 누구나 이중적인 면이 있다. 사람들에게 ‘보여지는 나’와 ‘내면의 나’. 그러나 어느 한쪽만이 진실된 나라고는 할 수 없다. 두가지 모두 공존하는 것의 ‘나’의 모습인 것이다.

‘보여지는 나’의 상징으로 이름을 겉면에 레터링 하였다. 내면의 나를 상징하는 단어들은 직접 터치하여 누르기 전에는 뿌옇게만 보인다. ‘터치’은 내면을 알아갈 만큼의 서로 나눈 교감을 나타낸다.

 The “Breath of lights composed of white fabric, RGB LEDs, a fan, and mirrors, “is an interactive light space that responds to the movement of people as they walk through it. Without audiences this space would appear at first sight to be static, and only light glows like breathing.

As viewers enter into the light-space their presence is traced by each motion detection sensor.

If motion is detected, the LED changes its color blue to other colors while the fan slowly turns on to inflate the fabric. Once motion is no longer detected, the light turns back to blue and starts to breath again. The fan also turns off slowly and the fabric is back to static shape.

천, RGB LEDs, 팬(환풍기), 거울로 구성된 “빛의 숨결”은 오고가는 관람객의 움직임에 반응하는 인터렉티브한 빛의 공간이다. 관람객이 없을 때의 이 공간은 오직 빛만이 숨 쉬듯 빛날 뿐 매우 정적인 상태이다.

관람객들이 이 빛의 공간에 들어오게 되면 각각의 인체감지 센서가 이를 감지한다.

움직임이 감지되면, 푸른빛의 LED는 색을 변화하기 시작하고 팬(환풍기)이 천천히 돌아가면서 천을 부풀게 한다. 움직임이 더 이상 감지되지 않으면, 빛은 다시 원래의 색으로 돌아가고 다시 숨쉬기 시작한다. 팬(환풍기) 역시 서서히 꺼지며 천을 가라앉혀 다시 정적인 상태로 돌아간다.
